I work in the food industry and am forced to listen to pop radio most of the time. Most consider me the music nazi as at times I will just go turn the radio off because I can't stand certain songs. Every once in a while I play my ipod and its tolerated for only so long.
I'd start with either 77ish, 81-82, or late 80s. The really killer stuff is hard to understand. But if you have any metal fans it only makes sense to get the rockin other ones goin.
